I had been avoiding flora as a main subject in my paintings for fear of not being able to capture the overwhelming joy they bring me. Finally I tried to think about some of my favorite flowers and why I love them so ... I do not know that there is anything on this gorgeous planet that smells more beautiful than lilacs in full bloom.
